KEY STAGE ONE WORKSHOPS IN SCHOOLS

The Museum offers two free outreach workshops in school for pupils at Key Stage One.

LIGHT AND SHADOWS
Shadow puppets reveal the scary side of life in a 19th century house/museum. Explore our Discovery Boxes full of toys, games and illusions which use light.
Links with Science and History.
Duration 90 minutes.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDGES
Through stories, exercises and models we explore five types of bridge, learning their names, their shape and their history, discovering interesting examples - some famous, some unusual and some just on your doorstep.
Links with Numeracy, Science and History.
Duration 90 minutes.

Unfortunately, due to the size and nature of the Museum, we are unable to accommodate visits by Key Stage One classes but are happy to work with teachers to develop further sessions in schools.
