Young Architects' Club
2009-2010 Sir John Soane intended his Museum as a place where architects could visit to learn and be inspired about architecture. The Young Architects' Club carries on this tradition.
YAC is for children aged 7-13. There are 20 places in the club and we are full for the year 2009-2010. We have a waiting list for 2010-2011 but this is very long so we have chosen to close the list for now. We will post a message here when it reopens, which is likely to be after August 2010. We regret having to do this but it is wonderful that YAC is so popular. Information for YAC members, 2009-2010: The club meets on the 1st Saturday of each month, 10.00am to 1.00pm. Children work with Museum staff and architects to learn more about this profession that combines science, art and design.
An annual membership fee of £10 applies.
For 2009-2010 YAC members will become 'Masters of Materials'. They will work with a different building material each month, discovering the properties of materials and how they are used in the building process.
